Villain Bio 2#: The Heretic Queen

(The lower levels of a lower city, on a distant world. A young green girl ran through the streets, dodging stray dogs and empty crates. The sights and smells were all dirty, but they were home. Climbing a hundred stairs or more, taking them two at a time, she finally burst into her family's house. It was barely more than a single room, with a pair of both-eaten cots. On one of these, the girl's mother was tending to her father) Girl: "I got the herbs. Is he..." Mother: "Your dad is fine. Give them here child, thank you" Girl: "I don't understand" (She jumped on the over cot, propping her chin up with her hands) Girl: "Why did those men hurt Dad?" Mother: "Those were very wicked men, they were hurting my friend. Your father stopped them. He's a hero" Dad: "I feel more like a pincushion" Mother: "Well, you're a hero to me. Lie still dear, the bleeding has almost stopped" Girl: "But isn't th...

Miko's Ghost

I wrote this a while ago, it is unfinished, but I thought I would share it anyways as it is no longer cannon and probably won’t become a full story. The story is completely stolen from Elizabeth Glaskell’s ‘The Old Nurses Story’. Carol Alphin, now with CHASER and Sarah-Van, have been called back to Jasper Nevada by Jack. He had written that Miko had been acting weird. And by weird he meant scared. Scared of her own home here in the states. Of course, Jack was concerned but being a teen boy did not feel like he could ask out-right. Carol, Sarah and CHASER meet Miko as she came out of school. “Hey! What’s my two best human girl-friends doing back in no-where no-where?”   Miko bent down to pet Silver. “New ride.” She looked at the black van. “We thought we would come to see you. We have a job here.” Sarah answered. Miko hesitated a touch. “Who squealed?” “Who said it was you?” “Please, nothing has happened here since…Forever. It was Jack, wasn’t it?” “O...

Gray & Sam

Image
The wind was howling and the snow fell in heavy sheets. A single figure made her way down the road, not at all dressed for the cold weather. Maybe it was because the bundle she carried war wrapped in a heavy fur coat. By the dim light of street lamps, she did her best to follow a weather beaten street map until, finally, she thought she found what she was looking for. Gray slept soundly, paying no mind to the wind rattling the windows or the pops and sizzles coming from the smoldering fireplace. If there was a faint knocking at the door, his slumbering mind didn't heart it. He DID hear the small explosion on the street outside. He bolted upright, looking around wildly but taking a second to realize there was a figure beckoning for him at the window. Throwing off his patch-work blanket, Gray ran to the front door and unbolted it, allowing the mysterious figure and the fierce wind inside. Carefully organized papers had been sent flying into every corner of the room, and...

Lyra Capella History 1#

In the beginning, the Stars danced. Many are tired now and sleep. Some others wear the cloaks of mortals and walk among them One Star in particular befriended the Mellivora and taught them the secrets of space travel (The Mellivora are a race of short bipedal mammals who closely resemble Badgers) A curious but passive people, the Mellivora Clans and their technology soon went to other worlds and came to be controlled by other, more assertive races The Tall were amphibious, making their homes in swamps and caves. More curious than the Mellivora, and prone to getting in trouble The Gnomes were a shorter race of Humanoids, distinguished by their large number of eyes and impressive beards. Terrific engineers but lousy inventor Gnomes and Tall got along well, intermarrying freely. Neither race exists in modern times, having become one-in-the-same
